Community Tech Hub

DHDC has just completed the construction of a Community Technology Hub as a result of several collaborations.  DHDC and Warren Conner CDC were the recipients of funding for equipment and software from the URC/UM through a grant from the Kellogg Foundation.  This has created the capacity for the community to connect to the university and each other. Additional equipment was given to DHDC by the Women’s Collaborative to create an interactive distance learning lab.  The rooms were renovated pro bono by several of our corporate partners, including Ideal Contracting, Superior Electric, John E Green, Seaway Painting, Sherwin Williams, GM, Ghafari, and MCM. The result is a center that consists of 3 rooms with various levels of state-of-the art technology that allows the community to connect to the rest of the world for training, education and collaboration.

Planned uses of these rooms include:

The Tech Hub is also available to be rented by other organizations and businesses for services such as video conferencing and training.
