Camp DHDC
Help Us Send Our Youth to Camp!
Every summer at DHDC 75 youth ages 11 to 18 attend “day camp” at our facility. At the end of the summer, staff, and youth spend four days and three nights at a beautiful Michigan overnight camp facility. For many of our youth it is the first time they will leave Southwest Detroit and have the freedom to do just one thing 24/7: be a kid.
At camp the time is all about being with your friends, with adults you trust and enjoying activities such as swimming, hiking, fishing and exploring nature. That’s hard to do in most cities and even harder to do in Southwest Detroit.
This year DHDC would like to invite you to use your sponsorship dollars in a new way that immediately impacts individual youth and their families who depend on DHDC programs.
