ADULT SERVICES
$3,000 will sponsor the annual luncheon in honor of World AIDS Day. The event is entirely developed and organized by the women participating in the
Comadres program. (Includes catering, rentals, awards for 150 people)
$2,000 will support activities as part of the 2009 Annual AIDS Walk
$1,000 will support 1 student in the Adult Education program for 10 months (includes tuition, books, materials)
$500 will provide emergency support services for individuals transitioning out of prison (i.e. bus tickets, clothing, etc.)
YOUTH SERVICES
$5,000 will finance the start-up of Urban Arts, Ink company- silk-screening supplies, t-shirts, ink, equipment and software.
$2,500 will purchase media production equipment.
$1,250 will fund one field trip for 80 youth (includes transportation, fuel, food, admissions).
$1,000 will provide a stipend for one high-school age youth to participate in skills training activities for 6 weeks.
$500 will provide daily snacks for 80 youth in our After-School program.
$400 will sponsor a DHDC camper to attend a 5-day camping adventure.
