Ideal Group
The Ideal Group is one of the original businesses in the Hispanic Manufacturing Center approached by DHDC to employ former gang members in 1997. The company is our “anchor” partner in the sense that they have brought countless individuals, funders (such as the Kauffman Foundation) companies, community and in-kind resources to DHDC over the past 12 years. Most recently, Ideal sponsored a successful social entrepreneurship program for several young artists in our 2008 summer program: Nu Era Art. The youth not only created graffiti art, they marketed and sold the art at local and regional craft fairs and at Ideal’s “Supplier of the Year” event last July.
