Technical Assistance
DHDC provides training and technical assistance in gang prevention and intervention to School staff, law enforcement, juvenile justice, youth service providers, and parents. Sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the group. Trainings topics can include: Recognizing Gang Behavior; Why Young People Join Gangs; Best Practices in Gang Prevention and Intervention; Working with Law Enforcement; Case Management Issues for Working with Gang-Involved Youth; Multi-Level Interventions and Policies for Addressing Community Gang Problems; Designing Culturally Appropriate Services; Creating a School Safety Plan; Replicating Programs.
